Mask flat surfaces and edges

High Temperature Masking Tape

Select tape by process cycle, surface, width, adhesive behavior and required edge quality instead of buying a generic roll.

Selection starts with the part and process.

Tell us the surface type, temperature cycle, desired width, residue tolerance and whether you need rolls or die-cut shapes.

Use this product family when

Flat areas, edges, tabs or irregular zones that need a controlled coating boundary.

Die-cut discs or shapes where hand cutting tape slows the line.

Programs where residue risk must be tested under the real bake cycle.

Do not use it as the first choice when

A hole or stud can be masked faster with a reusable cap or plug.

The surface is not known and residue risk cannot be evaluated.

A high-volume repeated part would justify a custom molded masking component.

Measurement checklist

Send these inputs with the RFQ so the first response can focus on a testable size or custom review path.

Material and temperature statement

Material

PET and polyimide material families may be considered according to the process; the final tape grade requires confirmation.

Temperature and process fit

Temperature rating depends on film, adhesive and dwell time. Confirm the exact bake cycle before selection.

Sample validation checklist

  1. 01

Apply tape to the actual surface condition before the process.

  2. 02

Inspect edge quality after bake or exposure.

  3. 03

Check removal for residue, tearing or surface marking.

  4. 04

Compare die-cut parts against manual cutting time if labor is the issue.

Frequently asked questions

Will the tape leave residue?

Residue risk depends on the tape grade, surface and process. Confirm the application with a sample under the actual cycle.

Can you supply die-cut masking shapes?

Yes. Send a drawing, target material and process details for a feasibility and tooling review.

Need to confirm fit first?

Request a sample range around your measured size.

Samples can be scoped around actual process, dimensions and testing goals before a bulk order.
