Measurement guide
Hole Measurement Checklist
A practical checklist for turning a masking problem into a useful plug, cap or sample recommendation.
Measure actual geometry
Capture the real hole or stud dimension from the part, not only the drawing nominal. Include diameter, depth, thread detail and whether the feature is blind or through.
Document process exposure
Record the finishing process, maximum temperature, dwell time, chemistry or liquid exposure and removal timing. These details affect material and fit selection.
Identify the failure mode
State whether the current issue is powder in threads, plug fallout, difficult removal, tape residue, poor edge quality or an unusual no-coat area.
Send proof with the RFQ
A clear photo, drawing, current part reference or simple sketch helps the first recommendation target the right product family and sample range.
Ready to narrow the options?
Send the inputs for a useful recommendation.
Include your process, product type, diameter, temperature, quantity and drawing, photo or current part number.
